My name is Amy Holgate and in 2016 I graduated from The University of Huddersfield with a first class BA Hons degree in Costume with Textiles –  it was an eye opener to the real world of costume and I had a glorious placement year discovering all the many different avenues I could go down in the future!

I felt a blog would help me keep track of my doings, the people I meet, projects I work on and things I learn. It is a useful tool for me but, hopefully, also to others, to find out what I have been doing and what I can do.

This blog has developed over the years into an exploration of the festivals and events I attend and trade at, references for me and others into how I made certain items, tips and tutorials, and a general musing platform!
